What is a Scone?
Scones originated in Scotland and have been an integral part of the British lifestyle for hundreds of years. Lightly sweet and crumbly, scones were enjoyed most notably at high tea. Today, however, Sticky Fingers Bakeries' scones are a delicious surprise at breakfast, brunch, supper, or snack time. Sweeter than biscuits, more delicate than bread, and healthier than cake, these satisfying, all natural scones can be enjoyed quick and easy, fresh from the oven. Scones are versatile, a perfect companion with spices, fruits, nuts, preserves, or clotted cream. They are also ideal as shortbread, or served as a compliment with cold cuts, cheese, soup, stews, chili. and tea

Making Scones
Prep: Preheat oven to 375 F Lightly grease baking sheet pan
Mix: In bowl, add 3/4 cup of water to entire mix. Stir with fork until
water is completely combined and sticky dough forms.
Bake: Drop heaping tablespoons of dough ( about 12 ) onto pan. Bake
12-15 minutes. For loaf style: Turn out dough into 9-inch pie plate
and press evenly onto bottom and out to the sides. Score deeply, but
not quite through, to make wedges. Bake 18-20 minutes. Serve scones
warm with curd or jam... and
tea!
